| | Ash started at the age of 12, using the absolute basics required to be a DJ. Working with regular CD-Players and a JB Lam92, he started making mixtapes and performed on a home-based scale only. After some time he threw it into the public (internet wasn't that popular those days) and scored some success in the dance and ambiance sector. We've got liftoff! Not that amazing, but quite impressive for a 12 year old. At the age of 13, Ash gives it a go and plays his first public party before a non-adult crowd. Waved by that crowd he started as the youngest successful DJ in the region.
Later, at the age of 14, he started working as a DJ with an online radio station in Enschede (Netherlands), Radio TNT. Commercial music on a large scale, performing before thousands of listeners every friday night at 10 PM. After several articles in the 'Twentsche Courant Tubantia' Ash loses interest in working for a online radio station and wants to go back on the field. He starts performing at public parties, still playing the ambient genre and choosing for big varied types of music. At that moment, people were enjoying dance-based music, like Milk Inc and plenty more of the same tunes that were going around.
In June 2001, when Ash rencently became the age of 15, he was offered an hour of broadcast time on BeatFM, a radio station in Passendale (Belgium) and known as the most popular webstreaming radio station in this country. Performing between 9 PM and 10 PM opened a new door to new public. Clubbing genres were released by Ash and he start shaking the places in West-Flanders. Club was at that time a very popular genre and is at this time still played in discotheques like Boccacio.
A few years later, in 2003; Ash was having some troubles with his studies. He took a little more air and retired for a while performing as a DJ on the road. He started a residentship with a local dance-café, the 'Molotov Cocktail' in Ronse. It is a step back, but it keeps the wrist in shape to start over again. After his school, in July 2005; he quit the job in the pub and started again turning the discs on parties in East-Flanders. The first large party in this province had taken place on New Years Eve, in Oudenaarde (Belgium). With more than 1,500 visitors, Ash was no longer a stranger in this area.
Now, 10 years later from scratch, he is still on stage and still performing that thing that people like. People can expect a unique style of music, electronic, with clubbing beats and a little chill with the soft beats of Hip-Hop. What they don't know is that some music played on parties have been produced by the DJ himself. The people can't expect what every night will be, because almost every genre in music is known terrain.
